We put our house up for sale in December. Prior to that time houses in the area were going for $340+ so, naturally, we expected to make more as everyone has been doing for the past 3 years.

Then the freeze came. Suddenly no one was buying. The media was constantly harping on the high costs of housing, increased taxes, yada, yada, yada.

And no one has sold a house since.

Yet over 1000 people a day move into Florida. Broward county has the largest growing population in the state. Mortgage applications are on the rise. New condo's a mile down the road are starting out in the $400,000's, and they're smaller and have no garage.

I blame the media. And Hurricane Wilma. And the taxes.

But I still need to sell my house! So we've dropped the price, twice now, from $350,000 to $339,999 to $329,999. It's a beautiful 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath with garage, 1600 sq. ft. New A/C, New Garage Door, Laminate wood floors downstairs, industrial checkered vinyl floor in the kitchen, wood parquet floors upstairs, custom built cabinet in the kitchen, wood deck in the backyard. We love it. We put a lot of hard work into it. But we have a new house being built and need to sell.
