Farewell Uncle Ted

On Saturday, May 5, 2007, my uncle Theodore Bernard Parker Jr. passed away after a lengthy battle with lymphoma.

My memories of Ted are pretty much good memories. He gave me my first motorcycle ride when I was about five years old. I remember eating at his sandwich shop in New Jersey with my mother and grandmother. He gave me advice when I needed it and didn't pry into my personal life without reason. In later years, after Mom and Nana had passed, I think Ted and I formed a closer bond.

During the past year I watched as Ted fought against his cancer. Although he went through the agony of surgeries and chemo therapy, he always seemed to remain strong and determined to win. Last summer the doctors told him he was cancer free, yet by Christmas it was back again.

Ted Parker put up one hell of a fight. I miss him already.

Office Staff

As you can see from the pictures below, I now have some office staff to help me pass the day. You may recognize Harley, the cat. The other furry one is Madison. She is a Netherland Dwarf bunny. You may recall that we lost a bunny, Coco, after Christmas. Well, Wendy went and found some breeders and we wound up not only with Madison but Cooper as well.
This is Madison.

Harley watches Madison like a hawk, which makes her a little nervous. But they have become best of friends, running and playing around the house.

This is Madison and Cooper when they were around three months old. Cooper is a Holland Lop. He is also a dwarf rabbit. Cooper will grow to be about three to four pounds. Madison will be smaller. Only about two to three pounds.
